You should agree – 2$ for hosting is not much. I heard people saying it has an average customer support, but that’s all. I’d recommend it either to beginner or professional.

I chose the yahoo for hosting but sometime I register domain name at yahoo for the first year (because it’s cheap). It’s usually has the promocode for domain registering

Yahoo are, in my opinion, a decent web host. I currently host with them and from what I’ve seen, there hasn’t been any downtime problems and the support team have been able to sort out the problems I’ve had. My overall opinion? Definitely recommended.

I believe if you are hosted at yahoo and they consider you are violating any TOS they at some point have the right to restrict your access to the hosting area but you should be able to access the domain control panel.

I purchased a domain from them to get the nice price but never hosted my site at yahoo. When the renewal date was approaching I simply transferred my domain elsewhere with no pain.

As I said, one thing is hosting and another domain names so they are being unfair applying the same criteria to all your account.

Good registration prices at Yahoo Domains, they also have solid hosting services. It is also enough that Yahoo domains is a subsidiary of Yahoo itself. That gives them support from me.

I have used yahoo a while back when they have the $1.99 promotion. They regular price is higher then other. Their domain management interface is not build for people who needs to manage large number of domains. It does not have bulk change feature, nor does it have any kind of export feature. However, if you looking to bundle their other services such as hosting and search marketing, then it’s might not be bad.

My first domain was acquired from yahoo, however since then many things has changed. They are a big corporation and treat you as such. I moved one of my domains from them to another registrar but they continued to warn me to pay the renewal threatening on closing my account regardless of the fact that I still had other domains with them. After many emails to customer service the problem was solved.

I used to have 4 domains with their hosting service. However when the hosting expired, I instantly stopped using Yahoo!. For one, they are way overpriced. The service is, surprisingly, mediocre in comparison to other registrars. But then again, the service I received was with regards to my hosting. Nevertheless, I would go with GoDaddy any day, better value and what I would expect, better support since they specialize in domains rather than a million things at once..

Yahoo is my least-favourite registrar by far. It does not have a very intuitive interface and the pricing is almost insane! I also never had a great experience with their support team.

I use Yahoo Domains for all of my domains and business services simply due to the fact that they are a business that deals with small business owners like myself. The level of professionalism is second to none. I would highly reccomend them to anyone who is seriously considering starting up a small internet business.
