Their specialization in web hosting allows them to offer a very comprehensive starter hosting package with every domain name purchase. They also have the Yahoo! brand to lean on – one of the most recognized and established brand on the internet. You will never go wrong with a Yahoo! product or service.

Yahoo is being tricky and trying to bundle all their ’small business’ services – domains, hosting, search marketing, etc. They make it sound like a good deal like offering domains for only $1.99 (not sure if they do anymore), but you have to purchase a lot of things together like that and all of the discounts only apply for the first year. I would stay away from Yahoo Domains unless they have some really good promotions to come.
When another friend of mine was registering a domain with yahoo.com He had some porblems about nameservers, because he was new to the whole thing, and so was I. Yahoo helped him add his nameservers to his domain, and he said their help was fantastic!
Probably the most cheapest domain registrar in terms of pricing. It’s very cheap and affordable for all users.
However, the cheap price comes in a disadvantage as the support is very slow and lacking with yahoo. So, if you usually need help with stuff then your not going to like them.

Yahoo! is good registrar if you have some extra money to spent. Their support and features are good but they charge huge bucks. I had a domain with them, but last year I transfered due to high cost.
This one charges very high price for domains. Although they have some cool promos it looks like only nice at first. They don’t support paypal and seems to be limited only to credit cards. I don’t feel comfortable with Yahoo as a registrar. I prefer to choose Godaddy and NameCheap.
Yahoo is reliable.They will be around for a while and stability is important.I could never register my .ca domains there was disapointed,but registered a few .coms and was suprised at the ease of doing things with their control panel,changes made, happen very fast I like that too.

yeah they don’t support paypal and their domain prices are not in my range. i don’t think so they have bright future in domain industry. Let’s see what’s their future.
I would stay away from them. Their deals look very good at first, but once you get through all the extra’s and fine print you will find that they are one of the most expensive registrars on the internet, and to be honest their support falls well short of the competition.
Yahoo domains is a good registrar because it’s backed by the safety of the large company. Their prices, however, are higher than some of the other registrars, but they do offer excellent support on the occasions that I’ve had to use it. It’s also a very intuitive interface for a first time domain owner.
I use Yahoo Domains for all of my domains and business services simply due to the fact that they are a business that deals with small business owners like myself. The level of professionalism is second to none. I would highly reccomend them to anyone who is seriously considering starting up a small internet business.
Yahoo is my least-favourite registrar by far. It does not have a very intuitive interface and the pricing is almost insane! I also never had a great experience with their support team.
I used to have 4 domains with their hosting service. However when the hosting expired, I instantly stopped using Yahoo!. For one, they are way overpriced. The service is, surprisingly, mediocre in comparison to other registrars. But then again, the service I received was with regards to my hosting. Nevertheless, I would go with GoDaddy any day, better value and what I would expect, better support since they specialize in domains rather than a million things at once..
My first domain was acquired from yahoo, however since then many things has changed. They are a big corporation and treat you as such. I moved one of my domains from them to another registrar but they continued to warn me to pay the renewal threatening on closing my account regardless of the fact that I still had other domains with them. After many emails to customer service the problem was solved.
I have used yahoo a while back when they have the $1.99 promotion. They regular price is higher then other. Their domain management interface is not build for people who needs to manage large number of domains. It does not have bulk change feature, nor does it have any kind of export feature. However, if you looking to bundle their other services such as hosting and search marketing, then it’s might not be bad.
Good registration prices at Yahoo Domains, they also have solid hosting services. It is also enough that Yahoo domains is a subsidiary of Yahoo itself. That gives them support from me.
