GoDaddy

GoDaddy.com is one of the world’s largest domain name registrars and is the main property of the Go Daddy Group Family (which also includes Domains by Proxy, Blue Razor Domains, and several others). If you live in the United States you might know them best for their “GoDaddy Girl” which they have been using on their site and in commercials since Super Bowl XL in 2006.

By most figures, they are the largest ICANN-accredited domain name registrar for .com, .net, .org, and .us domain name extensions. In 2009 Go Daddy reached over 30 million domain names under management. Although not without it’s controversies (including the deletion of familyalbum.com for improper whois info and censorship of sites like ratemycop.com), GoDaddy continues to be one of the better rated domain name registrars. 1. Definitely one of the best registrars around. I’ve used Godaddy for years now, and I place my trust in their support, pricing and security of my domains.

    Regards,
    Daniel

  2. GoDaddy is the best.. I used it for all my domains. It is the most reliable and the cheapest of all the domain registrars. Plus, they usually have coupons out making .com domains $7.99 or even sometimes just $.99. The only problems are that they have poor telephone support (although I only needed them once) and they have no coupons for renewing domains. It is the best domain registrar in my opinion.

My friend and I have quite a few domains registred at Godaddy.com. I am his Webmaster, and in exchange he pays for my domain (mpnoobs.net). While he own around 15+ domains. There are five or six for his gaming stuff, and the rest are domains he is planing on selling later on. We think that Gogaddy’s interface is great and easy to use!

Godaddy is fairly popular, and very common. I personally found their control panel lacking. It’s all over the place and you can’t find certain options without reading the help/faq’s.

The prices there are cheap, but it’s a hassle to use things. You also can’t transfer a domain, if you’ve made changes recently, and have to wait 60days!

  5. I choose godaddy only, but I hope there will be more discount whenm i make a buying!

  6. p3durungan says:

Surely use godaddy as my main registrar since it’s very famous and very friendly navigation. It also has great cheap prices. Almost 85% of my domain collection were on godaddy. The one and only problem is the difficulties to acces their mainweb, but this might came from my internet connection.

  7. Artz says:

Godaddy is my main place for domain registration. It is very easy to do hand regs on this registrar. Supports paypal and has a lot of discount coupons and promo. Now this one only charge $0.89 + $0.20 (ICANN) which in my opinion is the best place to register dot info at Godaddy.

Yes it’s GoDaddy for me. I only started using them a few months ago; but find the facilities very good. I now have about 65% of my domain names registered with them, and am just trying out a hosting package. So far all looks good and the hosting is very reasonable for the features which are included.
I did use the email support once, and found it to be quick and helpful.

Go Daddy is the best registrar in my opinion.Customer service is awesome and the extras dont cost a fortune.I have never seen one of my sites down yet at godaddy
and feel they will be the leader in domain name registration for a long time to come.

I just reg’d 2 more names with goDaddy, its so easy!

  11. Opal21 says:

GoDaddy is sometimes hard to take seriously; its marketing department seems to be run by the same bunch of teenage boys in charge of Axe commercials. But GoDaddy is still the world’s largest domain registrar, and it’s poised to help Twitter with a new step in its registration process.

  12. SoulStorm says:

It is hard to find a company with the level of service which GoDaddy provides it’s customers. Top customer service, great deals and an endless list of features. I will recommend them to anybody

  13. Alex says:

I haven’t used GoDaddy very often, but on the occasions that I’ve used it my experiences have been mixed. I have found their site to be a bit complicated and it’s often difficult to find what you are looking for. I’ve also had problems with their customer support being unhelpful.

  14. 2002mjf says:

Godaddy is simply the best registrar I have found, and I have used several!!!! Over time, I have had questions/problems with different registrars, but Godaddy is the only one that has consistantly provided me with excellent customer service. Not once have they failed to resolve any questions or concerns that I may have had. Although there are good registrars out there, Godaddy is the best there is….

  15. Fitness says:

Godaddy is one of the best but they charge little high price than others. overall it is bit confusing lot of features.

  16. Stepan Parunashvili says:

Godaddy truly deserves to be one of the most trafficked Registrars today. Not only does it sponsor Revision3, one of my favorite internet TV locations, it also is abundant with features. I have seen cheaper prices though and the email support team could use some more staff.

  17. leviathon says:

GoDaddy is the best domain name registrar hands down. I have used everything out there over the past few years, only to come back to GoDaddy every time. The price is awesome if you get discounts and even if you don’t I’d still recommend GoDaddy. Never had a problem, never had to call up tech support or anything like that because it just works. I don’t think I’m going to try anything else from now on (although I seem to do that for some reason). Stick with GoDaddy and you won’t regret it.

  18. Mike says:

Buying a domain ought to be easy, and GoDaddy does this fine. Sure, their buying process is overwhelmed with upsells and tricks to encourage you to buy more, but I sort of don’t despise that (being a entrepreneur myself). The prices are extremely aggressive. You probably can hunt around and find something that would be about few cents cheaper per year, but the reliability and ease of domain administration is worth that extra per year.

  19. JustThings says:

One of the biggest registrar around. I have used them for a while now and I have no complaint. They have the cheapest price of all the major registrars if you use coupon (which is readily available.) Their domain manager is user friend and they do have excellent customer support.

  20. ik says:

I actually have a very good experience with Godaddy.com … I don’t really see why someone should have his domains registered with them.

I will list some of GoDaddy’s drawbacks here:
    1- Weak support
    2- Problems paying with PayPal
3- Slow website interface (lots of images that make the site loads slowly)

Sorry GoDaddy, but you are not the best.

  21. Marty Code says:

    Great post, thanks!

  22. Kaizr says:

Godaddy is so far the best domain registrar most especially because they have the bulk registration for low prize, plus super big discounted coupons, and most of all free push functionality for domains to other godaddy account holders.

I have also tried contacting their support team, and got a fast feedback, plus they are prompt when it comes to sending notices for every little change in your account.

However, I hope that they would also provide free privacy, even just for the first year.
I only use Godaddy for domains, I have not really tried their hosting, because I have heard a lot of not-so-good review about them.

  23. bobbyjoex says:

I very like this site everyday we can get cheap domain and many cheap bonus for you

  24. sunken says:

I like GoDaddy. Their interface is pretty easy to use, especially if you need to bulk change all the addresses for the contact info. They do a good job of explaining what you are supposed to do if you are confused. They also do a great deal of promotions and coupons, bringing the cost down, and have easy member to member transfer. And they saved one of my domain names from being lost.

  25. leito says:

    Hey,

Godaddy is not bad at all had good expirience with them but if you are not located in the US their support is pretty slow and I don’t like their payment options.

Things would be way easier if you could pay directly via paypal if you have enough balance

  26. I am pretty new to wp. however what you write in this web log is absolutely very good and very useful. I believe it’ll help me later on. Many thanks to the good work.

  27. mike says:

I have over 150 domains with godaddy, website hosting . Also have domain auction listings with them. I have used other registrars in the past but not to the extent that I use GD .The emails and discount coupons are marketing genious and really saves money,I highly recommend GODADDY>

  28. Moustafa says:

Godaddy is one of the leaders in domain name industry.
Most of the registered domain names are placed in godaddy, lots of domain transferals are processed per day to godaddy as well.
I dislike the very slow transaction process when selling or buying a domain!

  29. Ricky Pham says:

Go Daddy is the best registrar in my opinion. Customer service is awesome and the extras dont cost a fortune. The price is cheap

  30. Ricky Pham says:

I rate for 5 star for all

  31. Ganda says:

well, for godaddy registrar some words i can say. godaddy is go 5 for 5 on the customer support. but, friendly, i prefer sedo for selling/buying domain names, on godaddy there are to many offer when you want to renew or buy domains, for example hosting, park domain, domain appraisal, join club offer. oh, its so complicated i think. :D

  32. Justin says:

GoDaddy is one of the most popular registrars out there providing good customer support and reliable service at a very reasonable price. I personally miss some features on it but still it’s a 4/5 overall.

  33. Ernestas Marozas says:

As I am not a professional in daomain business, I chose GoDaddy because of it’s price. It has not many features, but I like it. I would give 5 stars for very friendly support.
